On some computers running Windows 8 or Windows 8.1, the Tracker Freedom Wireless Receiver is not consistently identified by the operating system and is thus unusable by Tracker.

Possible Solution 1:

Plug the USB Receiver into a USB 2.0 port on the computer and restart the test. (This may include plugging the receiver into a USB 2 hub or into a USB 2 PCI card.)

Possible Solution 2:

From the Start screen, swipe up to bring up the Apps screen. Click the circled down-arrow icon. Click on Control Panel, located under Windows System.

Tap or click on the Hardware and Sound link (Only in Category View) Click Device Manager, located under the Devices and Printers heading.

From Device Manager, locate JTECH Medical --- Tracker Freedom.  Right click the item with the yellow exclamation point.  Choose Disable and when prompted to disable the device, choose Yes.  Now right click the disabled option and choose Enable.  If this does not remove the yellow exclamation point, repeat 2-3 times.

Click the stop testing button at the bottom left and begin testing again.

Possible Solution 3:

Reboot and try Possible Solution 2.

Possible Solution 4:

Move Tracker to a different computer with greater Tracker Freedom USB Receiver enumeration consistency.  Contact JTECH Medical Customer Service for more information.
